Meet the Doctor

Dr. Samer S. Mikhail is a highly experienced physician with over 20 years in the medical field, specializing in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and Regenerative Medicine.

A New Jersey native, Dr. Mikhail graduated Magna Cum Laude from Rutgers University in 1999 with a degree in Biology. He also conducted three years of cancer research and co-authored five published articles on esophageal adenocarcinoma.

Dr. Mikhail earned his medical degree at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, NY before moving to Tampa, FL. There, he completed his Internal Medicine residency at Tampa General Hospital, Moffitt Cancer Center, and the James A. Haley VA Hospital. Afterward, he dedicated the next nine years to serving our honored veterans in Ambulatory Care Medicine before transitioning into Emergency Medicine. Throughout his career, Dr. Mikhail has held medical and surgical privileges at ten hospitals and medical facilities across three states.



Recognized for his leadership, Dr. Mikhail was appointed Chief Director of the Emergency Department at Buchanan General Hospital in Grundy, VA, where he served for over 5 years. In this role, he trained ER physicians in life-saving emergency medical and surgical procedures. He was also selected as the chairperson of a multidisciplinary medical team dedicated to upholding the highest standards of patient care, professionalism, and ethical excellence. Under his leadership, Buchanan General Hospital earned national recognition for outstanding patient satisfaction, where “excellence and compassion define every patient interaction.”

Currently, Dr. Mikhail and his wife, Mariana, are at the forefront of Regenerative Medicine, a field focused on optimizing health at the cellular level to improve quality of life. Together, they have founded two regenerative medicine clinics and are developing a third. Using cutting-edge technology and evidence-based protocols, they are committed to advancing healthcare and improving patient outcomes.

Outside of his medical career, Dr. Mikhail—or Dr. Sam to those who know him well—is an avid outdoorsman who finds peace on the water. Whether fishing, exploring new destinations with his family, or simply enjoying the beauty of a sunrise or sunset, his passion for adventure and travel fuels his dedication to helping others lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.
